I'm an Osteopathic physician with a background in family medicine.  Over the years, I noticed something important: most people have a hard time reaching the level of health and wellness they want.  It's not because they don't care enough, but because they are overwhelmed.  People are stressed from all the conflicting advice, and exhausted from trying to force ways that they don't really connect with, into their real life.  It's hard to build habits around information that feels confusing, disconnected, and impossible to relate to.

My training taught me to look at the whole person and how everything in the body connects.  No matter how complicated wellness appeared to be, the same patterns kept showing up over and over again: food is information, movement is circulation, mindset and the nervous system are the switch, and community is the support system.  In other words, getting back to basics and taking small consistent steps, matters far more than trying to perfectly follow random bits of disconnected information.  That idea eventually grew into Create The New Reality and Phoenix Renewal: physician-created wellness education designed to make wellness feel understandable, relatable, and realistic instead of overwhelming. 

 

Somewhere along the way I realized something else.  People learn best when they feel seen and not judged.  That is where the characters started showing up.

Chaos Cat represents the stressed, overwhelmed, distracted part of us all.  He is the part trying to juggle too much while running on caffeine, pressure, and survival mode.

Wise Owl steps in with calm wisdom, simple understanding, and the occasional "maybe your body is not the enemy" reminder.

Happy Hound is what happens when small steps are repeated long enough to become habits.  Small steps really are the change you want; they just need to be repeated regularly to make the change big enough to see.

Together this trio turns wellness into something more human, more relatable, and honestly, more fun.

Wellness was never meant to be about perfection, restriction, or becoming a completely different person.  It is about understanding your body well enough to work with it instead of against it, while taking one small step at a time toward where you want to be.
